I am not an octopus

I sink, words tattoo the page

blood and scars

look at the way

my love is tar

thick like blue ichor

of the gods

I love you like anxiety from afar

butterflies and broken tickers

hearts on fire

with the oil of desire.

Pretty lies

Love,the pretty lies

of your eyes

like butterflies caught in my net

There is nothing I regret

about the time we spend

I want you to be my end

my start,

the one who holds my heart.
