The woman who became the dream
Grumpa spoken word poem about a grumpy grandpa
A daydreamer or ADD sufferer
Tune out switch off
Disassociate cough
wheeze
Run off pace never be free
only in daydreams
only in dreams
only in nightmares
and screams
Empathy searching for threats
which threaten you
answer in delusions cruel
criticise your attention span
you’re thick often man!
you don’t understand the problem
but any happiness we’ve robbed you of
every piece of joy
ever since you were a little boy
your mum was stressed
screaming unavailable with hardly any hugs to bless
your Dad a big brother lost
the price of care and all it cost
Never mind you carry on but the exits
Been hexed
you reach out but you’re vexed
No one can love you
it burns through your life
like a candle slowly waxing burning away
into the terrible unconscious unconfident ways
which have haunted you
anxiety insanity no one cares they are fighting their own battles with despair.
Trying to save the girl in the fire
Angels are just messengers
I know the world cries out for a saviour
I have been fighting for good behaviour
in amongst demons and nay sayers
no one heralded me
no angels,no wise men and shepherds
every woman whispered “am I your Sophia?”
I carried it as a riddle
god was on the fiddle
They said I was the escape artist
of this life
this prison
a schizophrenic
but they didn’t know I was brave enough to think beyond
that stereotype
I know I am right
delusion sometimes is the only solution
love the illusion of separation
everywhere everyone is in chains
just fighting for scraps
a poet kept under raps
and speeches
I fight to teach
I just want to save the girl in the fire 🔥
but it could go to the wire.
The poem I want my loved one to hear
You are more radiant than the sun
my words lean upon
you like gravity pushes us down
but in those sounds
are the meanings that ground
my very existence
and life
if anything relates to you
it tends to send me into a dreaming state
Scheming late
to win you at all costs
in this game of life
which trees survive frosts
to bear fruit
like actions
you are more than a distraction
you are my everything
and yet I keep coming back
and I am taken
my heart is awakened not bored
I live aboard your wishes
which dance like dandelion seeds
on the wind
I love you I love you I love you lots.
I fear the fading (music and spoken word track)
Deceiver
Trust my truth
don’t mind the proof
it’s gaping hole
it’s lost soul
Feel my game
the blame game
immigrants are there to blame
says the same man who owns millions
and has aspirations to own billions
A politician
a political movement
lacks improvement
just another bowel moment
just another noun
sounding out to name his enemy
stinging like a sea anemone
giving you an awful rash
and taking votes for cash
Sponsored by
and lobbied by
big corporations and business
another rich mess
from Cambridge
Oxford and Eton
as disabled people are a beaten into mess
filled corner
and human beings are trafficked and told they have no right to stay even though they were born here
but haven’t got the paperwork
another office clerk
More bureaucracy
more lies
media moguls
facebook spies
the tears of crocodile
who hunts and preys
on the working class and their delusions
and takes advantage of their confusion.
Deep in a forest of fake news
Spoken word poem
Enemy of the state
enemy waiting
enemy hating
if we worked together it might be beautiful
But enemies gather
enemies rather fire words like bullets
another bulletin
awaiting
I am done with the hating
the haters
saturating
the market
I write punchy rhymes
in time
like a tardis they are bigger on the inside
as worlds collide
I fight
hold it together for what’s right
Morals foraging in the dark
for food
I am rude trying to stay in the mood
as I walk through the corridors of insanity
my beating heart
all that separates me from being picked apart
I am chaos and disorder
but I wait at the borders of a better day
a escape artist who prays
to be released from this prison of rebirth and reincarnation
the harm within this world and its nation
to have our minds wiped
then be put back in another body
I am spirit and mind I want to flow free
I alone hold the key.
